Bio

Morgan Curtis is an artist based in Simsbury, Connecticut. She is completing a BFA in Studio Art at the University of Connecticut, concentrating in painting and drawing. Her work centers on oil paintings of various scales and small-format prints, with a strong emphasis on evoking memories through color and line. Morgan draws on everyday moments, personal history, and observed environments to inform her compositions. She experiments with scale and repetition to create visual rhythms. In studio practice, Morgan balances deliberate mark-making with intuitive response, continually refining a visual language that seeks to connect the viewer and memory.
